Adapted from Marvel Legends: Guardians of the Multiverse (2023). Now that the first season is over, I can safely say that this series has exceeded my expectations. It uses witty scripts and detailed animations to give fans the service they wanted, and then some. Each episode is very varied, so there are a lot of different scenarios and you never know how it’s going to turn out or what characters are going to show up. The show doesn’t waste time explaining the Marvel Cinematic Universe and just cuts to the core of the story and also starts tying the stories together without warning. This is for the fans, not the casual viewer! However, the variety of episodes also means that the quality and tone also vary drastically. The short length means that many events and battles are cut short. A lot of care was taken to keep everything canonical and consistent, but there are still some flaws and each character’s power/ability seemed to be invented based on the needs of the plot.
